Broadly speaking, it doesn’t matter what your console looks like — it’s certainly not a reason to buy, or not buy, any given console. That’s why it’s so nice to see the care Sony took in building the PlayStation 4, a remarkably better-looking console than the PlayStation 3 — or the Xbox One, or the Xbox 360.

The most incredible thing Sony has done with the DualShock 4, however, is that the company has made perhaps the most comfortable gamepad I’ve ever laid hands on. Selbst DAS kann die PS4 besser! Dabei wurde das nur halbherzig als "Me too"-Feature entwickelt! Das kann man schon als richtungsweisend für diese und die nächsten 3 bis 4 Konsolengenerationen bezeichnen!

Wobei - Voice Control ist doch eigentlich total überflüssig, oder wie war das?

Was ist eigentlich mit dem PS4-Driveclub-Bundle? Das ist schon seit der Verschiebung nicht mehr bei Amazon bestellbar, es geht nur Email-Benachrichtigung.

The Verge is an American technology news and media network operated by Vox Media

When the site launched, an innane self-fellating documentary about Polygon was created to introduce the site to the Internet. It was naturally done with their soft-light filming, which is probably due to whoever makes their stuff watching a few too many X-Art videos. But the big thing about this documentary is that it was funded by Microsoft to the tune of $750,000.

Why would a seemingly neutral site do this? Well it’s a two pronged reason. The first reason is because of Vox Media, the company that owns Polygon, is run by a self-admitted Xbox fanboy. Here is just a selection of his Tweets from over the last year:

Remember, this is the guy who owns Polygon.
The second reason is because Polygon is “respected” enough that they can affect Metacritic scores with their reviews. Jason Schreier at Kotaku did an amazing job pointing out just how important Metacritic is to the gaming industry and how the whole thing pretty much revolves around the review aggregate site. By “pooh poohing” a non-MS platform and praising the Xbox, Polygon can positively affect Microsoft’s Metacritic scores and make Vox’s CEO happy, after all he’s the one signing their paychecks.

Polygon gave the PS4 a 7.5, and spent 12 hours trying to convince people it wasn’t worth buying because of no good games. People went out and bought 1 million systems anyways.

The same site gave the Xbox One an 8, and then spent 12 hours demonstrating a system that didn’t resemble their gushing review in any way. Towards the end of their stream, they even ditched Kinect controls for the controller because it was seriously making Kinect look bad.As for the video I mentioned earlier, here it is:

Ich habe im letzten Monat eine E-Mail von Amazon bekommen, dass dieses Bundle auf jeden Fall vor Weihnachten erscheinen soll.
Einen genauen Termin können sie erst geben, wenn Sony grünes Licht gibt

Polygon: PS4 7.5 Xbox ONE 8.0

Es ist defintiv was dran. Der Großteil der AAA- PS3/PS4 Spiele (Last of Us 75%, Ni No Kuni 65% usw), die die Konsole pushen sollen, werden niedriger/niedrig bewertet. Hingegen Xbox ONE spiele höher eingestuft. Forza 9, Ryse > Killzone. Das ist nur ein kleines Detail von vielen. Die vielen versuche DRM schön zu reden von diesem Polygon Xbox Fanboy, sind legendär:

Dieser Secret Sauce Mist wurde übrigens auch von Arthur Gies in die Welt gesetzt, einem in der US Gaming-Szene einschlägig bekannten Polygon Redakteur. Er hat behauptet, dass die PlayStation keine Chance gegen die neue Xbox haben werde und das Microsoft eine Secret Sauce parat hätte, gegen die Sony nichts ausrichten könne. Als Sony dann im Februar 2013 mit der 1,8 TFLOPS GPU und den 8GB GDDR5 RAM an die Öffentlichkeit ging, hat er sich irgendwie nicht mehr so richtig für das Thema interessiert.

Für mich ist es überflüssig. Mir geht es darum dass es Microsoft einfach richtig versaut hat: Langsamer, teurer, Netzteil extern und dann auch noch wärmer und lauter... Technisch sind sie voll und ganz von den Japanern geschlagen worden, und das bei einem zeitgleichen Launch.

Dabei hat Microsoft soviel Geld und Sony ist fast pleite wie man hier dauernd von dir hier lesen darf.

Microsoft muss dringend nachlegen. Eine kinectlose, und damit billigere Version, ist Pflicht wenn sie nicht völlig untergehen wollen diese Generation.
Außerdem müssen sie dringend neue Hardwarerevisionen entwicklen die mit weniger Bauteilen auskommen, denn ansonsten haben die einen Preiskampf direkt verloren.

Ich glaube MS gern dass deren Hardware teurer ist, hat man ja bei Platinenvergleichen gesehen dass sie massiv mehr Bauteile benötigen obwohl sie langsamer sind.

Ich blende das nicht aus, aber denkst du wirklich, dass Polygon das einzige Magazin ist, das von der Industrie "mitfinanziert" wird? Bei Polygon wurde es publik gemacht, bei anderen nicht.

Aber um nochmal auf meine (einzige) Frage zurückzukommen: The Verge ist also nicht offiziell "biased" wie Polygon?

Ich bin immer noch der Meinung, dass die Fehlerrate sehr gering ist. Da glaube ich an Sonys Zahlen. Und alles, was ich bislang im Netz gelesen habe, deutet ebenso daraufhin. Von daher ist das doch für den Endkunden eigentlich egal. Europa bekommt dadurch keine besseren Geräten. Außer vielleicht aus ethischer Sicht.
