Here's a mini summary.
-The final game will include over 70 weapons that can to modded with scopes, recoil grips, laser sights, flashlights, and more.
-Collecting items (guns) from soldiers (dead or alive) can be taken to the war dealer named "Drebin" to be unlocked and used or exchanged for a currency called "Drebin points". Drebin points are used to buy new items and upgrades.
-According to the journalist, MGS4 has among the best sound ever. The soundtrack fits the game perfectly and the sound effects are so crisp and clean that even muffed explosions coming from buildings far away are heard. GamePro editor Sid Shuman went so far as to say that MGS4 has "the best sound I've ever heard in a game."
-Throughout the game Snake will encounter the "Haven Squad", Liquid Ocelot's personal troops. (AKA the "Frogs"). The Haven squad consist all of women and these lady don't play around. They can leap higher than any normal human, flank intelligently and are not afraid to use grenades. But don't be mistaken, this "Frogs" are only mini bosses, 1up.com's Shane Bettenhausen says "When the game's ready to start throwing actual bosses at you, you'll be floored."
-MGS4 is an open world affair, there are still mission destinations you must get to inorder to complete the scenario but there are multiple ways to achieve that goal, such as traversing though rooftops, sneaking by alleys, killings everything you see (probably end up dying) or rolling through with Snake's new hole Barrel.
-Throughout the game, Snake can go about his own mission and ignore those around him or gain the respect (not easily done, but gradually) of certain factions in the War. Snake will end up receiving rations, medicine, ammo and weapons if he earns the trust of certain factions of War. However, if the player acts suspicious, they won't hold back their guns.
-If Snake is left alone for 3 seconds near an object or even floor textures, the "Octocamo" will blend to the correct environment for him. Ofcourse it can still be turned on and off via sixaxis or more detailed selections through menu.
-Snake is not as young as he used to be so naturally he'll sporadically get his fair share of sharp muscle/bone aches and blood coughs. This is the effect of how hard the player pushes Snake and his Psyche gauge
-Other than the stamina gauge, Snake has two new gauges to watch out for.
The Psyche gauge and his Stress Gauge. The Psyche gauge is how Snake mentally reacts to the situation or battlefield. If the Psyche gauge is low and Snake is calm, he will have no problems executing his moves and aiming. If Snake is physically tired from barrel rolling or dodging bullets and giant cow sounding bio-organic freaks, he will have a more difficult time aiming or performing CQC moves.
-If the stress continues for a very long time, the Stress gauge will spike and Snake will enter a state of what known as "combat high". During combat high, Snake goes Rambo and dismisses incoming pain or bullets while having advanced aiming. However, Once the combat high is over, Snake crashes and both gauges empty out leaving Snake tired and valuable for a while.
-And finally the graphics. According to the journalist MGS4's graphics are in the same class as it's sound, among the best the industry has to offer. Every room and alley is very different than one another, the character models and plenty and very much detailed, and the subtle effects are in it's league of it's own. From debris flying around the town, to flickering lights creating shadows on objects and soldiers. When Snake gets shot, his blood realistically splats on the camera and when explosion go off the dust and debris form the shock lightly layers the camera. This is all apparently done while keeping the framerate ranging from atleast at 30fps (when there's alot going on) to 60fps.
All this WHILE there's still an embargo on most other detailed. The journalist only were allowed to talk about the "Middle East" part of the game.

Die ausgewählten Glückspilze von Journalisten (siehe obige drei Links) durften als erste Außenstehende "Guns of the Patriots" durchspielen (Aufgabe 1 von Kojima Productions).
Und während ihres damaligen drei tägigen Aufenthaltes in Japan während dem Zocken und in ihrer Freizeit ihre Inputs (Kritik, Vorschläge usw.) direkt an das Team und Hideo Kojima weiter geben (Aufgabe 2 von KP).
Alle drei Reporter sind von dem Spiel absolut begeistert.
Großer Nachteil für die Auserwählten, sie dürfen nahezu nichts verraten.
MGS4 könnte somit wohl tatsächlich zum neuen Referenztitel dieser Generation werden und das schwere Erbe des genialen ersten Teiles übernehmen.
