Fehlentscheidung. Glueck gehabt.
Ich geh dann mal kurz kotzen.
Mach das, ich gehe jetzt in die Heia.
Das war aber auch 'ne Bombe.
Mike Martz haengt wohl sein Headset endgueltig an den Nagel. Schade. "The Greatest Show on Turf" war damals schon extrem spektakulaer.
Da hat man mal zwei Jahre eine richtig gute Defense, mit der was möglich gewesen wäre und jetzt fängt man wieder von vorne an.The Atlanta Falcons hired former San Francisco coach Mike Nolan as their defensive coordinator on Wednesday, hoping he can toughen up a unit that has rarely ranked among the NFL elite. Nolan spent the last two seasons as Miami's defensive coordinator. Prior to that, he served four years as the 49ers head coach, following in the footsteps of his father. Nolan's numbers are much more impressive. The Dolphins allowed the sixth-fewest points in the NFL (19.6 per game), ranked third in rushing yards (95.6) and tied for 10th with 41 sacks. The biggest question is how to mesh Nolan's preference for the 3-4 alignment with personnel that is built around Smith favoring the 4-3.
The National Football League announced today that the St. Louis Rams will face the New England Patriots in London, England’s Wembley Stadium this season. The game, which is part of the NFL’s International Series, will take place on Oct. 28 at Noon CST (6 p.m. UK). CBS will provide live television coverage of the contest. The Rams will serve as the home team for this year’s contest, and the team has reached an agreement to play a home game at Wembley Stadium in 2013 and 2014 as well.
Damit dürften die ersten "Flynn to Miami"-Gerüchte nicht mehr lange auf sich warten lassen, wenn sogar noch Clements kommen sollte.Dolphins hire Packers OC Philbin to be next head coach
The Miami Dolphins have hired Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin to be their next head coach, a league source told NFL Network's Michael Lombardi Friday.
The Dolphins later confirmed that Philbin will be the 10th head coach in team history.
Philbin was among three finalists for the position, including interim coach Todd Bowles and Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy. League sources had previously told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora on Friday that McCoy was the front-runner for the job.
"The Dolphins have a strong nucleus to build around, and working with everyone in the organization, I know that together we will return the team to its winning tradition," Philbin said, via the team's official site. "I have seen how much the fans in South Florida care about the Dolphins, and that passion is one reason why I’m really excited to be here. I’m looking forward to their support, and I can't wait to get started."
Philbin, who has been with the Packers since 2003 and the team's offensive coordinator since 2007, could look to bring Packers quarterbacks coach Tom Clements along with him as offensive coordinator, sources told La Canfora. Clements is a candidate with Tampa Bay and interviewed with the Bucs on Thursday.
Auf der QB-Liste sollen Manning (wenn frei und fit) und Flynn ganz oben stehenDolphins hire Sherman, Coyle as coordinators
Joe Philbin was once hired by Mike Sherman in Green Bay. On Friday, Philbin returned the favor.
The new coach of the Miami Dolphins hired Sherman as offensive coordinator on Friday, also adding Kevin Coyle as the team's defensive coordinator. Combined, the 57-year-old Sherman and the 56-year-old Coyle have 68 years of football coaching experience.
Sherman and Philbin have a relationship that goes back decades -- Sherman was once Philbin's high school English teacher. When Sherman was head coach at Green Bay, he gave Philbin his first NFL coaching job.
Sherman joins Miami after four years as head coach at Texas A&M. He also has been on the staffs at Seattle and Houston, along with college stops at Tulane, Holy Cross and UCLA.
Coyle has been a coach in Cincinnati since 2001, serving the last nine of those years as the Bengals' defensive backs coach. He has been a defensive coordinator at the college level at schools including Syracuse, Maryland, Fresno State, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and Holy Cross, and has also worked as a collegiate assistant at Cincinnati and Arkansas.
