May 8, 2006 - Before we begin this story, as an aside, the subheading of "wild orgies of destruction" was made up entirely by Sony. It was just too good not to pass on to our readers.
Now that's out of the way, SCEA announced several new details about MotorStorm, which gained worldwide recognition after it's mesmerizing trailer from last year's E3. With a selection of over 200 vehicles to select -- from agile Moto-X bikes to unstoppable big rigs -- MotorStorm pits up to 20 different challengers together in a free-for-all race where there are no rules, no borders and no restrictions.
The main draw to MotorStorm is its online capability. Community-building features such as ladder rankings, bespoke challenges and downloadable content will seek to enhance the experience that PS3 gamers are expecting with their next generation system.
Players will also be able to utilize the game's "Live-Fi" technology to hear many of the MotorStorm artists play as if they were playing in the stages themselves, creating a unique aural experience.
