Hier mal die offizielle Begründung von ND gegen die SP-Demo:

Naughty Dog has revealed the company will not be offering a single-player demo of its hotly anticipated adventure romp, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

The developer cited various logistical issues as a reason for the decision, such as effectively cramming in hours worth of gameplay into a brief 15-minute teaser. As a result, the team have plumped for a multiplayer demo instead.

Speaking to 1up, creative director Amy Hennig commented, “It’s always tough to do a single-player demo,” adding, “You can always argue whether it benefits you or not in the long run, because so much of it depends on you understanding where you are in the narrative, and then appreciating what’s going on in the single-player demo.”

Naughty Dog bigwig Evan Wells also chipped in, stating, “Not to mention that it’s a 12-15 hour experience and you have to somehow collapse that into 15 minutes. I mean, we have something like hundreds of moves to train you over several hours, and if you just drop somebody into the fire…”

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is due out in October. The multiplayer demo, meanwhile, will be available from September 15.

Since Drake's Fortune was so good there wasn't actually a massive amount Naughty Dog needed to do to craft a sequel. In all honesty there'd have been barely a moan from anyone had they simply slapped a new story and levels onto the bones of the first game, pushed it out of the door and watched the money roll in. So it's to their huge credit that instead they've taken the time to craft a game that manages to feel like a genuinely significant step forward while retaining everything that was so great about the original. The addition of a stunning multiplayer component and the creative freedom of the Cinema mode are like the enjoyably overindulgent pudding after a wonderfully satisfying main meal that make you thankful for elastic waistbands.

If, as some have said, the PS3 is still in need of a killer exclusive to take into the festive silly season then Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is, without a doubt, it. Anyone with a PS3 should be beating down the door of their favourite games emporium come release day and the rest of you still waiting for a reason to belatedly join Sony's party have just found it.

Prinzipiell seh ich das ähnlich. Bei U2 bin ich aber (wie bei Forza) sicher, dass der Titel den hohen Erwartungen am Ende auch vollends gerecht werden wird.

Zum Teil kann man das ja schon jetzt anhand der Beta/Demo beurteilen.

Und extrem hohe Erwartungen an U2 hatte ich schon seit Teil 2 bestätigt wurde. Die wurden durch die Reviews jetzt nicht unbedingt in die Höhe getrieben.
 
Man kann sich auf www.naughtydog.com übrigens mit seinem PSN-Account einloggen und ausführliche Statistiken zu den absolvierten MP-Sessions abrufen.

Ab 16.10. kann man sich dann dort auch die Videos der Matches ansehen etc.! :)
 
Im Areabasar kann es ein User heute schon bei seinem Händler abholen, Spiel scheint also schon im Umlauf bei einigen Händlern zu sein.

Falls das wirklich klappt, werd ich meine Amazon-Bestellung eben stornieren.
 
Was allerdings seltsam ist, ist die Tatsache, dass die U2 in zwei Versionen anbieten. Eine ab 16 (erst am offiziellen Release-Termin erhältlich) und eine sofort verfügbare Version ab 18. Das Spiel erscheint aber ab 16!

Ok, auf meiner erste Mail kam gerade als Antwort, dass wenn man heute noch bestellt, es schon morgen auf Reise geht.

Die Antwort auf meine Frage bzgl. der Sprache steht noch aus.
 
Da guckste mal. ^^

Die deklarieren das als 18er Version. Afaik ist es in D aber ne 16er, so dass es ein Import sein dürfte. Haben ja auch ne 16er auf ihrer Seite, nur die erscheint erst am 14. ^^
