Der Zeitpunkt wäre schon gekommen. Aber warum sollte der Rev in einer kleinen Keynote Rede zu einer Messe vorgestellt werden, bei der Nintendo nicht mal ordentlich teilnimmt!? Kann ich mir nicht vorstellen. Der Hype ist so groß, BigN wäre doch nicht so dumm die Vorstellung zu einer "Keynote" verkommen zu lassen...? Vielleicht gibts ja doch noch ne Spaceworld.

Wieso nicht? Bei der Rede ne Präsentation des Controllers und der Features, ein paar Game-Trailer etc. und irgendwann nach der TGS in ganz Japan kleinere Events, wo jeder das Gerät anzocken kann. Beim DS haben sie's letztes Jahr fast genauso gemacht.

Es gibt kaum einen grösseren Publikumsmagneten als die TGS in Japan, wo könnte Nintendo die Revolution also (der Öffentlichkeit) besser präsentieren?

Dass sie sonst nicht auf der Messe vertreten sind, ist aber natürlich ein Einwand. Das hält aber zumindest 3rd Parties nicht davon ab, Ankündigungen zu machen. Das dürfen sie aber leider erst, wenn Nintendo die Rev präsentiert hat.
 
Hauptsache es kommen bald richtige Informationen zum N5 und vorallem ein Erscheinungstermin (plus mindestens ein Jahr Verschiebung natürlich :D).
Ich will jetzt endlich wissen, worauf ich denn nun sparen muss. ;)
 
Termin ist mir egal, ich will endlich den Controller und die ausstehenden Features sehen. Nähere Details zum Virtual Console Service (vor allem Preise und Spieleangebot) und der Wi-Fi Connection im Allgemeinen wären auch nicht schlecht.

Aber ich stelle mich schonmal darauf ein, dass es nur ein weiteres Puzzleteil geben wird. ;)
 
btw. IGN schreibt's nun etwas konkreter im aktualisierten Revolution FAQ:

Q: When will Nintendo reveal more about Revolution?

A: At the Tokyo Game Show 2005. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata will talk about Revolution in his keynote speech. Nintendo fans must not miss this event for it is here that Iwata is expected to unveil the Revolution's mysterious controller. The keynote will take place in mid-September and IGN will be on hand with details and photos.

Mal hoffen, dass sie wirklich ne Bestätigung haben und es nicht einfach nur Wunschdenken aufgrund von "Insider-Quellen" ist.

hmm... GameSpot hat ne Live Coverage von der TGS, aber keine Ahnung, ob sie auch die Keynotes übertragen. Würde sich eh nur lohnen, wenn wir ne englische Übersetzung von dem bekämen, was Iwata zu sagen hat. ;)
 
Pah, Revolution wird die Sprachgrenzen sprengen!1 :D

Ist doch egal wenn man nichts versteht (mit meinen zwei halbherzigen Semestern Japanologie bin ich auch nicht besser dran...), Hauptsache man hat die Möglichkeit, bewegte Bilder und/oder den Controller zu sehen. :)
 
Gäbe es eigentlich einen besseren Zeitpunkt, den Controller live zu präsentieren, als seine Funktionen anhand von Spielen aus 20 Jahren Mario zu zeigen? :naughty:

Nintendo fans are always playing the waiting game. We wait for news on the Big N's next-generation console, codenamed Revolution -- and once we've got it, we wait for more. That's the way it's always been and long-time fans have become used to the system. Nintendo reveals only a portion of its game plan at a time and usually pulls back one or more big secrets for unveiling at a later date. However, it left one major piece of the puzzle out of the showing and that is, to the disappointment of many followers, the nature of its still-very-mysterious controller.


Nintendo did at least promise that much more information on Revolution, including details on the control mechanism, would be announced before the end of the year. At first, fans speculated that Nintendo might bring back its annual Space World show, a one-time annual event held in Japan to spotlight the Big N's hardware and software products. But when August and September rolled by without so much as a mention of the show, which has historically taken place during these months, fans were forced to face the likely possibility that it wasn't happening.
So all eyes have turned to the Tokyo Game Show 2005, where Nintendo president Satoru Iwata is scheduled to make an important keynote speech. IGNcube has put together a convenient list of questions and answers to help Nintendo fans through the event. Here's what we know:


Q: Will Nintendo be exhibiting GameCube games at Tokyo Game Show 2005?

A: No. The company has historically chosen not to preview its game software at the Tokyo Game Show and this year is no different. Nintendo has no booth at TGS 2005 and no plans to demo GameCube, DS or Game Boy Advance software there.

Q: Is Nintendo participating at all in the Tokyo Game Show 2005?

A: Yes. Company president Satoru Iwata will make a keynote speech to kick off the show.

Q: When will the keynote speech take place and how long will it last?

A: Iwata's keynote is scheduled to take place in Japan on Friday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. However, this date is meaningless to Americans because our time zones are so different -- Japan is roughly 16 hours ahead. Readers hoping to catch the news as it happens should tune into IGNcube on Thursday, September 15 at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Iwata's speech will last 50 minutes, according to the Tokyo Game Show.

Q: What is Iwata going to discuss during his keynote?

A: That, obviously, is the big question. There are all sorts of rumors regarding Iwata's speech. What we do know for sure is that he will talk about the industry in general and he will also talk about Nintendo's forthcoming console, Revolution. Da der Titel dort oben aber anders geschrieben ist, könnte es natürlich auch ein vollkommen anderes Spiel sein - oder halt doch ein Fake. :D
