NHL - Saison 2006/2007

Die Trade Deadline ist abgelaufen. Hat noch eine Menge Wechsel gegeben.

Die Pens haben sich mit Nolan Schaefer, Joel Kwiatkowski, Georges Laraque und Gary Roberts umfangreich verstärkt. Keith Tkachuk ist in Atlanta gelandet, Bill Guerin wechselt von St.Louis nach San Jose, ein Todd Bertuzzi läuft in Zukunft für die Red Wings auf und Yanic Perreault spielt jetzt zum dritten Mal für die Maple Leafs. :D
 
Sweep! :victory:

Zum ersten Mal in der langen Gesichte zwischen den Flyers und den Penguins ist es einer Mannschaft gelungen, alle Spiele untereinander in einer Saison zu gewinnen.

Boston hat auch gewonnen und kämpft sich so langsam wieder an die Playoff-Plätze ran.
 
Toronto nach einem Sieg gegen die Caps wieder auf dem 8. Platz.
Die nächsten beiden Spiele geht es nun gegen die Sens, womit es wieder abwärts in der Conference gehen dürfte :zahn:

Glücklicherweise spielen die Canes und Habs auch nicht gerade ihr bestes Eishockey.
 
Naja, Ottawa werden wir nicht mehr erwischen. Ich weiß ja nicht, ob ihr noch Spiele gegen Carolina, Montreal und den Islanders habt. Fegt die mal lieber vom Eis :ja:

Ich hoffe ihr kriegt ne neue Arena, macht Spaß den Pens zuzuschauen.

Simon suspended indefinitely by NHL

Chris Simon might know by the end of the weekend just how costly revenge is.

The Islanders forward was slated to have a disciplinary hearing Saturday at the NHL office in New York to discuss the two-handed swing of his hockey stick to the head of Rangers center Ryan Hollweg.

Once the talking stops, Simon will likely be hit with a suspension that could end his season. For now his banishment is indefinite, the NHL said Friday.

''I spoke to Chris a couple of times,'' Islanders coach Ted Nolan said after practice. ''Obviously he's not feeling very good right now.''

Simon stepped onto the ice at Nassau Coliseum, dressed in his New York Islanders jersey for perhaps the final time this season. The occasion was team picture day, but the rugged forward barely mustered a smile.

Simon doesn't know when he'll be allowed to play again. He was given a match penalty Thursday night for deliberate attempt to injure and now is awaiting the consequences.

Arena deal keeps Penguins in Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reached an agreement with state and local officials for construction of a new arena that will keep the team here under a 30-year lease.

The basics of the agreement were reached in a make-or-break meeting last week in Philadelphia, where both sides reported that significant progress was made. Most remaining details were worked out over the weekend, according to sources close to the negotiations.

A formal announcement will be made later today, prior to the Penguins 7:30 p.m. home game against the Buffalo Sabres. Gov. Ed Rendell is expected to be on hand for the announcement.

The arena, which will cost about $290 million, is expected to be ready for the 2009-2010 National Hockey League season. The Penguins will continue to play at Mellon Arena under a short-term lease extension until the new arena is built.
