Bezüglich Handheld-Vorbereitung macht es allerdings null Sinn bei einem Spiel die Framerate zu halbieren, um bei der beschränkten Performance noch 1440p erreichen zu können. Da sollte imo jedes Spiel mit maximal 1080p laufen.

von da aus auf 4k sieht vielleicht scheiße aus beim Großteil der TVs? Wer weiß. Evtl machen sie dann noch ein viertel davon, quasi 720p ( und dann 4x integer scaling und dann da drauf FSR ) für das Handheld und sparen so die noch fehlenden Watt. Alles sehr strange.

Ein ROG Ally X(box) hat im mobilen Modus bei TDP 24W einen Verbrauch von 42 Watt!

I think maybe Oliver is right, it’s not about getting games ready now for the PS6 handheld, it’s more about getting Sony’s developers used to shipping a game with two performance profiles, one for docked and one for mobile where power limitations will apply. I’d imagine Switch and Xbox devs are more used to this sort of thing thanks to the Switch’s docked/undocked modes and the Series X/S divide.

Power saver is spot on for the next handheld experience. 100% agree. It is a really savvy way of testing the waters. They can get feedback now for how developers may or may not be challenged to target future low power specs.

PS Launcher für Windows PCs incoming? Würde für Cross-Buy Sinn machen, da sie kaum die Steam- oder Epic Store-Version kostenlos dazugeben können.
