Heavy Rain: Director's Cut nächste Woche in USA

04.11.11 - Sony CEA hat das Action/Adventure Heavy Rain: Director's Cut für die USA angekündigt, das am 08.11.11 in die Läden kommen soll. Diese neue Version enthält den DLC "Heavy Rain Chronicles: Episode 1 - The Taxidermist", den Soundtrack, acht "Making of" Videos, mehrere Konzeptgrafiken, zwei Bonus-Trailer, uvm. Preis: USD 29,99

wird bekanntlicherweise ein großes Problem bei der Madison aufgeklärt.

Weiterhin wird es nur diese eine Episode geben, da Sony die restlichen eingestampft hat. Das PS Move war denen wichtiger als die beabsichtigten Storylücken zu füllen.
Anhand dieser Entscheidung Sonys, wird sich Episode 1 wohl auch dementsprechend im PSN Store schlecht verkauft haben.

Wie viele hier schon sagten, fallen einem doch gerade die Lücken in der Story sehr negativ auf.
Die Geschichte von HR leidet jedenfalls durch diesen DLC-Wahnsinn völlig unnötig.

"From a creative point of view it was not my choice. I would have really preferred a thousand times developing the Chronicles. I thought we had a lot to say about these characters, about their background. Things that were just mentioned in the game that had a true explanation in the background, and it's a little bit unfortunate that we won't be able to tell you the full story."
But at the same time, Cage said he's looking forward to working on something new. "I didn't want to do everything, I wanted to move on," he said. "I didn't want to spend another two years on Heavy Rain developing Move and Chronicles and stuff. ... So a decision had to be made and it's a decision I respect. Honestly, it's not like I'm upset about it, I would have preferred to do it differently but, you know what, it makes sense."
