http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=27469EA PLANS to release a compilation of every title in the Command and Conquer series so far in February 2006.
The 10 year anniversary collection will include 12 titles and be one of the biggest videogame compilations yet released. This collector's edition will also include a video DVD to commemorate the occasion. Fans of the series also have a chance to appear on the DVD footage by entering a video submission to prove they are the games' biggest fan. Details of the competition are at this web site, www.commandandconquer.ea.com.
The complete set will be named, Command and Conquer The First Decade and will include, every game from Command & Conquer (1995) right up to Command the most recent edition, Command & Conquer Generals along with all of their respective expansions. The series to date has already sold 23 million copies and ranks inside the top 5 best-selling PC franchises of all time. Only today I spoke to an RTS fan about the lasting playability of the original C&C games and it looks like EA has been thinking along the same lines. There isn't much doubt that re-releasing some of the first games to popularise real time strategy gaming will be a huge success and it has already received massive praise from the online community which has grown around the games.
Folgende Titel werden in The first Decade enthalten sein:
