Albert Haynesworth hit the free-agent jackpot Friday morning by reaching agreement on a seven-year, $100 million deal with the Washington Redskins that could end up maxing out at $115 million based on his performance, according to sources.
Ein paar weitere nennenswerte Signings und Trades:The Redskins reached an agreement Friday morning to keep cornerback DeAngelo Hall, and made him one of the highest paid cornerbacks in football. Hall accepted a six-year $54 million deal that included $22.5 million in guarantees, giving the 25-year-old cornerback his second big payday in as many years. Hall was guaranteed around $24 million in a seven-year, $70 million contract he signed a year ago with Oakland, but he struggled to adjust to the Raiders' man-to-man defense and was waived after eight games.

The Cleveland Browns traded talented but troublesome tight end Kellen Winslow on Friday to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for undisclosed draft picks.
The New England Patriots addressed their need for depth at running back on Thursday evening, reaching an agreement in principle with free agent Fred Taylor. Taylor, an 11-year veteran, was released by Jacksonville last week for salary cap reasons.
The Kansas City Chiefs were the youngest teams in football last year but new general manager Scott Pioli wanted to install some veteran leadership. Pioli accomplished that task by trading an undisclosed draft choice to the Patriots for 33-year-old linebacker Mike Vrabel.
