Gears Of War - Hintergrundgeschichte (!!!SPOILER!!!)

So, ich mach hier mal nen extra Thread damit man sich nicht mühsam über Spoiler im anderen Topic unterhalten muss und diejenigen, die es schon durchgespielt haben hier ihre Gedanken über die Geschichte austauschen können.

Was denkt ihr?

Haben die Menschen die Locust erschaffen? Es deutet ja einiges darauf hin:
Die Sires wurden offensichtlich von Menschenhand geschaffen oder zumindest genetisch manipuliert (es gibt auch nen Gegenstand den man finden kann bei dem zu lesen sind das die Männchen äußerst aggressiv geworden sind, außerdem spricht der Computer von der genetischen Zukunft der Menschheit) und die Königin kennt Adam Fenix und spricht über ihn als wäre er ihr einst ein Freund gewesen. Gefangen kann sie ihn jedenfalls nicht haben - anderenfalls könnte Adam Fenix am Ende von den Credits nicht den "Notruf" absenden.

Meine Theorie:
In dem Labor hatten die Menschen gefangene Locust und haben versucht Menschen mit diesen Kreaturen zu "vermischen" um eine Art Übermensch zu erschaffen. Adam Fenix hat mit der Königin der Locust in dem Labor gearbeitet und irgendwie hat es die Frau dann geschafft sich selbt zu verwandeln ohne in ein Monster wie die Sires verwandelt zu werden und wurde dann wohl von den Locust als Königin anerkannt (gibt bestimmt ne alte Prophezeiung bei denen oder so ). Oder die Menschen hatten sogar die Königin der Locust gefangen und die wurde dann "vermenschlicht".
Ist natürlich sehr holprig aber ich denke in die Richtung wird es gehen.


Und:
Was wollen die Locust von den Gefangenen? Nahrung? Gut, Sklaven haben sie ja auch aber Maria wurde ja z.B. zu Tode gehungert und misshandelt und offensichtlich nicht zur Arbeit gezwungen. Tai wurden wohl gefoltert um Pläne aus ihm herauszukitzeln.

Was ich von diesen durch Immulsion verwandelten Locust halten soll weiß ich nicht so genau. Wären sie nur hirnlose Mutanten, dann könnten sie den Locust (die ja zudem noch riesige Monster unter ihrer Kontrolle haben) nicht gefährlich werden. Sind die am Ende eine Art verfeindeter Clan der nicht mit den Plänen der Königin einverstanden ist? Es muss auf jeden Fall mehr dahinter stecken sonst wäre es aus Adam Fenix seiner Sicht ja nicht so fatal gewesen was Marcus da angerichtet hat.

Was natürlich auch sein könnte (würde auch erklären warum Adam Fenix so entsetzt ist wegen der versenkten Stadt): die Kombination aus Wasser und Immulsion erlaubt es den Locust sich noch weiter auszubreiten(!?!?).

Naja, macht evtl. nicht viel Sinn aber mir war danach und vielleicht hat ja jemand von euch ein paar Gegenstände fürs Journal gefunden, die mehr Licht in das Dunkel bringen.

Im beiligenden Heft der CE steht übrigens was von wegen Imulsion löst bei Kontakt mit der Atmosphäre Krankheiten beim Mensch aus. Womöglich war das also der Plan der Locust: die Menschen durch Verpestung der Luft und des Trinkwassers ausrotten. Das würde auch erklären warum so oft im Spiel anspielungen auf die negativen Folgen von Kontakt mit Imulsion gemacht werden.

Aber warum erschießt er sich dann selbst? Und was hat er auf dem Rücken? Ich habe eher die Vermutung, dass Menschen in Locust verwandelt werden.

Bei den Experimenten in der Facility habe ich das Gefühl, dass Menschen wiederum an gefangenen Locust genetisch herumgebastelt haben und dass dadurch die Lemnant entstanden sind, was die Locust dazu bewogen hat, an die Oberfläche zu kommen. Deine Vermutungen sind aber auch nachvollziehbar. Ich bin jedenfalls gespannt, wie es weitergeht. Hätte nach Teil 1 nicht gedacht, dass die Geschichte so interessant werden kann.

Die Sires im Labor waren definitiv Menschen, es gibt nen Gegenstand in dem die Verwandlung von nem Mädchen beschrieben wird (zumindest laut nem User in den offiziellen Foren).

Naja, der Tai wird halt wohl zu krass misshandelt worden sein, der hat ja laut Marcus noch nie irgendeinen Kampf verloren und überlebt alles - und hier war er hilflos und wurde misshandelt. Hat wohl seinen "Geist" gebrochen was für nen spirituellen Menschen wie ihn zuviel gewesen sein dürfte.

Ich muss mir die ganzen Sammelobjekte, die ich gefunden habe, mal in Ruhe ansehen. Ist bisher noch nicht geschehen.

Worüber ich übrigens bei GoW2 total enttäuscht bin: Ich habe nicht eine Berzerkerin zu Gesicht bekommen. Die Schlampen...

When Jacinto was sunken, the Hollow which contained massive amounts of Imulsion was flooded with water. Did u ever think what would happen when Imulsion is mixed with water? I believe there are 2 possible things that could happen:

1) The Imulsion mixes with the water (like dilution) and gradually seeps from the Hollow out into sea and eventually all water in Sera in contaminated and turned into Imulsion.

2) If you look the word ‘Emulsion’ up in the dictionary, which is similar to the word Imulsion just spelt with an E instead of a I, it means:

Emulsion: a suspension of one liquid in another, e.g. oil in water

Due to the similarities between the words Imulsion and Emulsion it would be plausible to think that Imulsion (a natural resource in Gears of War) has the characteristic of Emulsion (a suspension of one liquid in another). If Imulsion was to have this characteristic only one thing could happen when Imulsion comes in contact with water. Eventually the Imlusion will be drawn from the Hollow and it will sit on the surface of the sea, just like when u mix oil with water, the oil always floats to the top and the water stays beneath. If this were to happen all Imulsion will be drawn from within the Planet and brought to the surface of the sea, covering most of if not all of the sea on Sera.

If any of these 2 outcomes were to happen it would cause drastic effects. It would threaten humans with the rustlung disease. It would also draw all Locust (including the Queen) and Lambent locust to live on the surface of Sera due to the Imulsion being there and also because the Hollow is flooded.

This is a possible reason for why Adam Fenix was so worried in his comments after the credits and stated “What have you done”. Adam Fenix now knew what was going to happen now that the Hollow had been flooded.

ok, so i've been thinking about somethings after finishing The gears 2 story. some of my theories are supported by the prequel novel. i'm only about half way through that so if some things are proven or dis proven in the last half of the book, i will remove or correct my theories when i finish the book. and because i'm lazy and kinda tired right now, im not going to properly state my theories as paragraphs tonight and instead just list them in bullet points.

* The Locust Queen is/was Marcus's mother. When Marcus was a kid, his mother mysteriously disappeared. It was apparent that Adam Fenix knew what happened to her but didn't say anything to Marcus. When Delta Squad met the queen at the end of gow2, Dom and Marcus vaguely look like they recognize the queen. also, Dom says "It's Her." which suggests to me that hes not referring to her as the locust queen but something else. i mean, its obvious that shes the queen there so why would he state the blatantly obvious?
* I theorize that the Locust were created chiefly by the Fenix family by genetically mutating humans and other animals to make all the Locust classes. Suggested by the fact that the drones and most human looking locust speak at least basic english and the queen speaks fluent english.
* The sires represent the governments involvement in and when they drew the line on a "super soldier" project.
* A theory is that Marcus's mother was put in charge of the locust after it got to a certain point. thats when she apparently disappeared during Marcus's childhood. But for some reason or another, She (and the rest of the locust horde) was corrupted and got out of control. I suspect a side affect of the genetic alterations or exposure to the Imulsion fumes. (Locust were kept underground to keep them a secret.)
* The Locust have Human tech. weapons, armor, computers. Also, Adam Fenix had a complete map of the locust tunnels. how was he able to do that secretly unless he was extremely and allied with the locust. also, he was in the locust computers and was obviously alive during the events of Gears 2. In the end of the game after the credits, he said "What have you done?" To me, that suggested that he was pissed off/upset that most of the locust were wiped out, not that he was pissed that Jacinto was sunk. Mostly because he was in the locust computers and seems to be on the locust side for the most part. Like, hes not happy that the locust are trying to wipe out humanity but doesnt want his "baby" or project to be destroyed.
* This is my last point and is a long stretch that i dont have support for. I theorize that Skorge is/was Adam Fenix. He's the locust queens "right-hand-man". its possible that when the locust overrun the fenix mansion, instead of being killed, Adam Fenix was captured and submitted to the locust transformation process and turned into Skorge.


Thats basically it. These are all theories that i thought of. If you have other evidence that suggests otherwise, then i'd love to hear it but dont be an idiot and immediately discount my theories without any evidence to back it. But in the end, none of us know whats real until Gears of War 3 is released.

So habe ich Adam Fenix abschließende Worte auch verstanden: Alles wird schlimmer. Wo hast du denn das gefunden? Da machen sich einige ja massiv Gedanken. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich da bisher nur konsumiert und wenig drüber nachgedacht habe.
